Congratulations to the amazing contestants - Sir Roman, boy Bolt, Angie, and Syn! We are so proud of all of you! Congratulations to Aurora, boy Woody, and Sir Ivan on a great year as the inaugural titleholder!

Minnesota Leather Pride Weekend 2016 kicked off early on Friday night at the Meet & Greet in Mason's. This social was a nice low key way for the four contestants and our six judges (International Leatherboy 2015 Tim Hotchkin, Sir Jason Zahlen, International Leatherboy 2013 Gator Bate, Ms Iowa Leather 2015 Lucket Kiche, Michael Downs, PJ Knight) and tally masters (David Coral and Steve Lenius) to warm up before heading to the interviews. There was a short ceremony to draw numbers, and plenty of hugs and conversation. [photos]

After the Meet & Greet, the contestants and judges moved upstairs to a secluded meeting space to conduct the interviews. The interview is where the judges can get very direct and personal with the contestants. Think of it like a job interview. [photos]

Saturday morning and afternoon were busy with several Kink U sessions, and the Minnesota Market Place. Here are a few photos of the vendors who came to help us gear up. [photos]

Saturday night was the main contest event. The evening was fun and momentous as we said thank you to our 2015 title holders as they step forward to welcome in the new 2016 Minnesota Leather Sir, Minnesota Leather boy, and Ms. Minnesota Leather Pride. [photos]

If you couldn't make it to the contest, or would like to see it again, here is a video of the entire night:

Following the contest, the last official act of the night was the photos of the winners judges, staff, VIPS, and friends. Congratulations to Minnesota Leather Sir, Roman, Minnesota Leather boy, Bolt, and Ms. Minnesota Leather Pride, Angie. [photos]

Thank You

Minnesota Leather Pride wants to thank all of the contestants, and our 2016 contest committee, Bud Ingram-Lile, Randy Ingram-Lile, Ryan Brown, Vicki, and Andrew Bertke. We would specially like to thank the Saloon staff, especially Everett, for all of their help.

Five potential themes were presented for voting to the Minnesota leather/kink/BDSM community in November, and now the results are in; "Think Kink" is the theme for Minnesota Leather Pride in 2016!

With the theme identified, the board of Minnesota Leather Pride is immediately accepting submissions for dog tag concept/designs for 2016. As in past years, members of the community are welcome to submit concepts/designs for the 2016 dog tag.

Submissions are due January 4 at noon (12 p.m.). Concepts/designs should be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and the submissions will be reviewed at the Events Committee meeting that day (Jan 4).

The committee will make a recommendation to the board for approval at the board meeting immediately following. Those submitting designs are encouraged but not required to attend the committee meeting and present their concept/design. While artistic renderings are encouraged, written descriptions of design concepts are also welcome.

With a new year on the horizon, it is time for us to start thinking about the theme for Minnesota Leather Pride in 2016!

As we have done in past years, the Events Committee is asking the community for suggestions for a theme for 2016. The committee will review all the possibilities submitted at the November Events Committee Meeting and narrow the choices down to three or four (3-4) options. These options will then be presented to the community at events and online during November and early December for individuals to vote on the theme they like best.

The results of the voting will be revealed at the December Board Meeting and our theme for 2016 will be officially annouced.

So, brainstorm! Then send us your ideas for a 2016 theme. Ideas should be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Proposed themes must be submitted by noon on Monday, November 2 in order to presented and reviewed at the November Meeting.
